Just when you thought that Rang Rover lineup couldn’t get anymore exciting, Land Rover has released the new 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR, the first Land Rover to wear the new high-performance SVR badge.

“A thorough range of revisions specially developed by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations combine to make this premium derivative even more distinctive both inside and out, as well as taking its dynamic capabilities to the next level without impacting on comfort, refinement or all-terrain versatility,” said John Edwards, Managing Director of Land Rover Special Operations. “The Range Rover Sport SVR is truly the world’s most capable performance SUV.”

Power for the Range Rover Sport SVR come from a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine making 550-hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission, the Range Rover Sport SVR runs from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 162 mph. At its test laps at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Range Rover Sport SVR ran at 8 minutes 14 seconds.

Along with power upgrades, the SVR gets a bunch of exterior and interior modifications to justify the sportiness.

“The Range Rover Sport SVR is a natural progression beyond the core vehicle’s outstanding on- and off-road capabilities and leading-edge design,” said Edwards. “It’s exhilarating performance will satisfy a particularly demanding customer set.”

Prices for all this powerful goodness will start at a whopping $110,475.
