Station wagons may not be the most popular segment in the states, but they certainly offer their fair share of utility, and an alternative to a crossover or larger SUV. Utility, however, can still come in a nice package, and today we’re checking offerings that are on the market for this form-meets-function segment. These are the top three most searched luxury station wagons here on SpeedList.

Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon (Starting Price: $42,195)

The CTS Sport Wagon maintains its sporty spirit with a 3.0-liter direct-injected engine that makes 270hp, with an available 318hp offering by way of a 3.6-liter engine. A track-tuned chasis offers near-perfect front-to-rear 50/50 weight distribution, and Caddy offers all wheel drive, stabilitrack and ZF Severtronic highly responsive steering to enchance the models performance. On the outside, the front is fitted with HID headlamps, while a set of vertical LED tail lamps rest on either side of a programmable power liftgate, closing right above a stainless-steel dual-outlet exhaust, while the whole package sits on a set of 19-inch cast-aluminum wheels. Inside the Cadilliac are features such as rain-sensing wipers, heated and ventilated leather front seats with memory settings, a set of high-performance gauges, ambient lighting and polished metal accents. Additional features include Adaptive Forward Lighting, a Rear Vision Camera, OnStar, 8-inch glide-up navigation screen, 10-speaker Bose surround sound system, Pause-and-play radio, keyless access and modular under-floor storage space.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate (Starting Price: $58,600)

Mercedes has recently revamped the E-Class so it has a fresh new design both inside and out. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that gets 302hp and 273lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60mph time of 6.9 seconds. Performance-driven features also include self-leveling airmatic suspension, a set of 18-inch wheels, standard 4-matic all-wheel drive and agility control. Inside the E-Class is room for seven, with two rear-facing 3 seats, Command system, a 7-inch display, Bluetooth, audio streaming, USB, digital media interface and a panoramic moonroof. Safety technology includes Active Blind Spot Assist, Distronic Plus cruise control, Cross-Traffic Alert, Pedestrian Recognition and Active Lane Keeping Assist.

BMW 3 Series Sport Wagon (Starting Price: $41,450)

BMW powers its sporty wagon with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 240hp, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Performance features such as xDrive Intelligent all-wheel drive, variable sport steering, and Eco Pro, which shows how efficiently you’re driving and offers variable modes. Safety features include speed limit information, surround view, dynamic stability control, BMW Assist with Bluetooth, and run-flat tires. Technology for the model includes BMW Apps which allows Social Network Access, music PlugIn and Video Playback through iPhone, an available Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and HD Radio. Additional features include comfort access, which gives keyless access to your doors and your trunk, a full color head-up display and navigation with traffic alerts.
