It’s always an exciting day when a new Ferrari comes out and today is one of those days. Unveiled at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, Ferrari has revealed the new LaFerrari based Ferrari FXX K, a more hardcore track version of the road-going LaFerrari supercar.
Ferrari says that the new FXX K is not limited due to the regulations of any racing competitions and regulations.
“Unfettered by homologation and racing regulations, the FXX K will never be used in competition,” Ferrari said in a statement. “It was, in fact, developed to be completely uncompromising, incorporating technological innovations that will guarantee an unprecedented driving experience to the exclusive group of Client-Test Drivers with whom the Prancing Horse will roll out a test programme over the coming two years.”
Power comes from an updated KERS hybrid system which features an electric motor that now delivers 187 horsepower and a 6.3-liter V12 has been upgraded to make 848 horses for a total output of 1,035 horsepower.
Word is the FXX K’s price of admission is approximately $2.7 Million, and the 35 unit run is all spoken for.
