Designing a luxury car places focus on comfort, convenience and technology and how easily a driver can access or experience these things. As esthetic design goes, it is often overlooked, despite the fact that it’s where we spend our time with the car. So today we’re shifting focus from engine specs and wheel sizes over to luxury car interiors and all they have to offer you. The models listed here on today’s Top Ten Tuesday have recently been redesigned, so let’s take a closer look at the features they have to offer.

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (Starting Price: $ 94,400)
The interior of the S-Class is handcrafted, and glows with almost 300 LEDs that offer seven color options of ambient lighting. In true Mercedes fashion, the automaker has gone beyond dual-zone climate control to offer cabin air that is ionized, double-filtered, and has an aromatherapy system. Further perpetuating the spa theme is a “hot stone” massage setting for its seating, as well as heated doors and armrests. The rear cabin also offers four seating configurations. Technology for the S-Class includes dual 12.5-inch high-resolution screens, a touchpad, Command system, a Burmester audio system, and Mbrace, a system that allows remote vehicle access among other features.

2014 Lexus IS (Starting Price: $36,100)
The IS interior features start from the outside with its SmartAccess keyfob that locks and unlock doors and starts the engine without ever having to touch it. Once you make it into the cabin you can experience all the technology offered, such as advanced voice command with enhanced Bluetooth, steering wheel mounted display, phone and audio controls, Home Link, Voice Activated Navigation, traffic and weather with no subscription required, an available subscription for sports, stocks and a fuel guide, the Lexus Enform App Suite that includes apps like OpenTable, Pandora, I Heart Radio and Yelp, HD Radio with iTunes taggings, available Mark Levinson 15-speaker surround sound audio, color multi-info display in gauge cluster and a back up camera. Additional comforts include a perforated leather interior trim, 10-way power adjustable sport seats, rear seat comfort with more legroom than the outgoing IS, rear seat armrest, heated steering wheel, Lexus personalized settings, heated front seats and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

2014 Cadillac CTS (Starting Price: $45,100)
Cadillac offers a luxurious place sit with available hand cut-and-sewn leather craftsmanship, as well as heated and ventilated front seats. A heated steering wheel adds to the comfort of the interior, as well as the aesthetic ehnahcement of Ambient Interior Lighting, the CUE infotainment system with a full color reconfigurable heads up display, a customizable 12,3-inch LCD display with 4 different configurations, Automatic Parking Assist, which scans for spots and parallel parks for you, and a Bose Active Noise Cancellation system for a quiet cabin when the radio is not in use.

2015 Cadillac Escalade (Starting Price: $71,695)
A team of 11 artisans is behind the handcrafted and cut-and-sewn interior of the Escalade, which is coupled with heated front and second row seating and cooled front seats. The third row of the escalade is power folding as standard, and every unit comes equipped with navigation, as well. Also featured on the interior of the Escalade is the CUE information and media system, which offers a touch screen and tablet-like functionality with apps and voice recognition, a 16-speaker Bose Centerpoint surround sound audio system, a full color head-up display, 4 configurations for the 12.3-inch gauge cluster that can display everything from vehicle data to 3D images, center console storage with multiple USB ports, a 110 volt power outlet, configurable cargo space and tri-zone automatic climate control.

2015 BMW X6 (Starting Price: $60,800)
The BMW X6’s interior revamp comes with electronic climate control and ventilation which allows for different temperatures on different areas of the body and a pollutant sensor that will change to recirculating air automatically and a filter for other bacteria and odors. To enjoy all the fresh air, BMW offers premium seating with two individual rear seats and dvd players both in the front and the rear. Technology includes Navigation with iDrive, Real Time Traffic Information, a large resolution screen, BMW Assist MyInfo that gives drivers access to Google, Bluetooth, Logic7 16-speaker sound system, HD Radio, iPod/iPhone USB integrated system and a rear view camera with interactive track lines.

2014 BMW 3 Series (Starting Price: $32,750)
BMW’s 3-Series offers a 24/7 concierge service with critical calling, so no matter what time of day or night you can get the information you need, and even have address sent straight to your navigation. The 3-Series also includes automatic climate control with individual settings for driver and passenger, a windshield misting sensor, settings recall, temperature and radio volume controls in the rear, Comfort access for getting in and out without having to touch your key, a sensor that will open your trunk with the swipe of a foot, a full-color head-up display with data and navigation, iDrive 4.2 with touch pad, a new optimized menu, BMW Apps which includes iPhone plug in and playback, Web Radio, Social Networks and more, a Harmon Kardon Surround Sound System and HD Radio.

2014 BMW 2 Series (Starting Price: $ 32,100):
While this may be a new badge for the BMW lineup, the BMW 2 Series is actually the successor to the outgoing 1 Series. Redesigned inside out, the new BMW 2 Series now receives an interior that has a more luxurious look and feel and one that also gives of the sense of spaciousness. Interior entertainment features include the new 4.2 iDrive system with Touchpad and an 8.8 inch display, BMW Apps, a Harman Kardon sound system and a rear view camera.

2014 Porsche Cayman/Boxster (Starting Price: $52,600)
These models the same driver-focused treatment as the 911, with intuitive button placement, easy on-board computer, sport seats with Alcantara, silver and leather detailing, leather steering wheel, lockable glovebox and storage compartment, rain sensing wipers, heated seats and steering wheel, a light design package, 3 round integrated gauges in the cluster, on-board computer, seat ventilation, active carbon air filter, aux-in, Bluetooth, CDR Audio system and an available Bose surround system.

2015 Hyundai Genesis (Starting Price: $ 38,000)
The freshly redesigned Genesis interior comes with genuine wood and aluminum trim, standard heated front seats shod in ultra premium leather with contrast piping, ventilated seats, a power rear sunshade, side window sunshades, 17-speaker Lexicon Audio System with Discrete Logic 7 Surround Sound Processing, power seat cushioning, integrated memory system and a heads up display.

2015 Infiniti Q50 (Starting Price: $37,150)
Completely new, the Q50 replaces the G37 and comes with an all new interior that includes Infiniti InTouch with Vehicle apps for a personalized driving experience, a touchscreen, Infiniti Connection, with digital alerts and security, Sirius XM, a driving performance monitor, several clock display options, several compass options, Automatic Collision Notification, Concierge service, My Schedule to sync your Google calendar and remote services that allow you to keep an eye on your car when you’re not with it.
