With BMW making a point to not only compete every segment, but to create new ones,  Mercedes-Benz has just unleashed an all-new concept model, a Coupe SUV directly aimed at the BMW X6 to give the Bavarian automaker a run for its money.

The concept features some seriously sporty lines fit to go up against the X6, with a large radiator grille, chrome louvre, frameless side windows, recessed door handles, sizable wheel arches and low stance, all sitting pretty on a set of 22-inch wheels.

“The Concept Coupé SUV stands out thanks to its extreme proportions and in doing so interprets our hallmark Mercedes coupé design idiom perfectly. With its superior sportiness it conveys a sense of modern luxury and aesthetic aspirations of sensual clarity”, describes Gorden Wagener, Mercedes-Benz head of design.

A set of full-LED headlamps are also featured on the Mercedes concept, as well as illuminated side sills, a thin pair of taillights and an intergraded dual-flow exhaust system.

This four-door, all wheel drive coupe still has no interior or power details, or release date, but we’ll keep you posted as Mercedes-Benz makes them available.
